Margaret (Meg) Chittenden is the author of many books and articles, including How To Write Your Novel and Dying To Sing, the first in her Charlie Plato (a "thirty year old divorcee with an attitude") mystery series. Others in the series are Dead Men Don't Dance, Dead Beat and Deadly, and most recently, Don't Forget to Die. She is a regular columnist for Murderous Intent Mystery Magazine.
Meg has been writing five days a week since 1970. During that time she has published short stories and articles, three children's books and 29 novels. Meg has spoken at writers and readers gatherings in Washington, British Columbia, Oregon, Idaho, Massachusetts, New York, California, Illinois, Georgia, Nevada, Texas, Minnesota, Florida, Hawaii, New Mexico, Hawaii, Washington D.C. and Japan. She is a member of the Pacific Northwest Writers Association's Literary Council and a recipient of that group's Achievement Award. She is also a member of Mystery Writers of America, American Crime Writers League, Romance Writers of America, Sisters in Crime, and the International Association of Crime Writers.
Meg is originally from England and now lives in Washington State with her family. When she's not writing, she enjoys working out at the gym, beachcombing, surfing the 'net, reading, and traveling the world in search of stories.
