Over 600 entries were submitted by 35 countries and territories. The 70 nominated programs ranged from high-quality commercial successes to heart-breaking documentaries.
Rockie Award Winners:
Grand Prize. PRIDE AND PREJUDICE. A BBC and A&E Network co-production.
Best Short Drama. SWEETIES. Ziegler Film/WDR, a German- Italian co-production. Funny story of woman trying to recapture the passion in her marriage.
Best Made for TV Movie. LOST CHILDREN. TV 2000. Germany. Controversial drama from WRD Cologne that focuses on a prepubescent, professional pickpocket.
Best Mini-Series. PRIDE AND PREDJUDICE. BBC/A&E.
Best Continuing Series. DUE SOUTH. Alliance Communications/CTV Canada.
Best Arts Documentary. BLACKLIST - HOLLYWOOD ON TRIAL. Koch TV/American Movie Classics USA
Best Popular Science Documentary. HORIZON. BBC.

Ted Childs. UK. Former Managing Director of Central Films and Executive Producer of Drama for the Carlton Group. Chairman of the British Academy of Film and TV Arts from 1994-1995.
Pascalle Cosse. France. The Information Services Director for Euro Aim, a network representing 9,000 European independent producers in 18 countries. Prior to Euro Aim Cosee held communications positions at the Cinemateque Francaise and the Paris Screenings.
Posie Graeme-Evans. Australia. A producer of over 250 hours of prime time and family drama for Australia and New Zealand. Head of Production for Sydney based Millenium Pictures and consultant to the Australian Broadcasting Authority.
Arthur Kane. US. Executive Director of the International Council of the National Academy of TV Arts and Sciences. Former career executive with CBS, Viacom International and New York City's WNET/Thirteen.
Shoichiro Sasaki. Japan. Executive Director of NHK Enterprises and a film professor at Japan's Bunkyo University.
Birgit Weidlinger. Germany. Weidinger is a highly respected editor, writer and reviewer for "Suddeutsche Zeitung," Munich's most esteemed newspaper.
